Safety and Discipline Policy
We have evacuation and emergency response plans in place to best protect the children and staff in our program. We conduct regular fire drills. Our main front entry door is locked to prevent unauthorized access onto the premises. For security reasons we ask that you not hold the door open for other individuals. Visitors must use intercom and wait to be admitted by other staff.
To enter our facility parents will use an entrance code located next to the front door. Parents or other authorized adults must pick-up their children by entering through the front door and waiting at your child’s classroom door. That person must then sign the child out.
Multiple security cameras are placed throughout our facility and are monitored by center directors. Additionally, strategically placed cameras are located in each classroom for parent access. Immediate communication is provided by an internal phone system throughout the school and is used by all staff.
Safety
Discipline Policy
At Sunny Clouds Daycare, we promote a caring environment that encourages cooperation, respect, and peaceful problem-solving. While behaviors such as biting, hitting, tantrums, or sharing conflicts are normal in early development, our staff closely supervises children to guide positive behavior.
When needed, we speak to children calmly but firmly and may briefly remove them from the group to help them reset. If a child's behavior becomes persistent or poses a safety concern, we will partner with parents to develop a plan. Should the behavior continue despite intervention and support, we reserve the right to temporarily withdraw the child until they are ready to safely participate in the group setting.
